The high efficiency shaft driven performance benchmark set by the FW-05 has been lifted with the increased racing power of the FW-05RR (double-R). Outstanding performances through all heats were achieved at the 2004 1/10 GP Touring Car World Championship in Brazil, despite being the only car of its type at the event. However, despite the bitter disappointment in the final due to uncontrollable circumstances (that is the nature of car racing), the double-R's potential was the talking point among the world's top drivers.
Sharing many parts with the World Championship winning V-ONE RRR, a wide scope for setting adjustment is also realized. This machine represents the endless search for racing winning performance. Shaft driven 4WD drivers around the world will not fail to show improved results with this machine.
Uses the same front knuckles as the V-ONE RRR. Kingpin angle has been changed to 0 degrees from 2 degrees. Results in improved steering response and optimal Ackerman.
Modified shape of front upper suspension mounts achieves increased lateral and front/rear rigidity, and a low C of G.
Modified shape of upper deck realizes stronger support for suspension system.
Uses same rear hubs as the World Champion V-ONE RRR. Precision setting adjustments are made possible. Higher roll center realizes smaller roll axis and smoother return.
Rear suspension arm on the chassis side has been changed to harder single-side supported shaft. Realizes reliable axis rotation and smoother suspension stroke.
